Driven by the purpose of preserving the rich cultural heritage of Indian hand embroidery techniques, each piece is handcrafted by Karigars (skilled artisans) using techniques and practices handed down for centuries. Valuing these traditional techniques is integral to their survival in a modern world of mass manufacturing.
Each beauty is intentionally crafted to belightweight for comfort of wear, while still delivering maximum statement impact.Meticulously handmade, these statement earrings are conversation starters that won’t weight you down while still being made to last.
Key to this mission is enriching the livelihoods of these skilled craftspeople, through Fair Trade practices and ensuring safe working conditions as well as providing above standard wages, healthcare, sponsored education and support for employees. A portion of profits is also donated to charitable causes.
Caring for the planet, recycling, up-cycling, and reducing energy consumption is at the forefront for Deepa Gurnani. Striving to reduce waste and be environmentally responsible in all that they do, they support the OCA (Organic Consumers Association) and continue to explore ways to introduce sustainable practices into operations.
